Well done to our colleagues from the Tai Afon, Central Quay delivery team who took part in the LandAid SleepOut 2026 in Cardiff last night, raising awareness and vital funds to support young people facing homelessness.
The team stepped up to join hundreds of others sleeping out across the UK in solidarity. Together, colleagues have raised ยฃ8,000 - a fantastic achievement and our team pictured above, included Scott Trinder, Heidi Ward, David Loft, Gareth Torr, Romana Brodzinska, Karl Ward, Rhys Williams, Matthew Morley, Holly Andrew and Jack Griffiths.
Held at Cardiff Arms Park, the event gave colleagues a glimpse into what a night without a home might feel like. Despite freezing temperatures, the team commented that spirits stayed high thanks to great company and a shared sense of purpose.
This support for LandAid also reflects Watkin Jones Group ongoing commitment to community impact as part of our Future Foundations ESG strategy, helping strengthen the communities we build in.
Scott Trinder, Commercial Director, said:
โWeโre proud to have taken part in the LandAid SleepOut 2026 in Cardiff, supporting the vital work being done to help young people facing homelessness. Sleeping out in the Cardiff Arms Park stands was both eventful and extremely cold, giving us a small but important insight into what a night of homelessness might feel like. Despite the chill, sharing the experience with such a great group made the night that bit easier.
"A massive thank you to everyone who took part and to all who have supported them so far. Your efforts help shine a light on an important issue and support the work LandAid does yearโround to change young lives."
